With its birth in 1967, the 44GS established Grand Seiko's unique design philosophy, the "Seiko Style." This mechanical watch inherits the structure of the 44GS, which depicts the countless expressions born between light and shadow, and adds a modern interpretation to the "44GS Modern Design" mechanical watch. The 36.5mm case is made of 18K pink gold. The dial features the "Mt. Iwate Pattern," a delicate molded reproduction of the majestic mountainside of Mt. Iwate, as seen from Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi, which manufactures Grand Seiko mechanical watches. The Mt. Iwate pattern and the dial color, which is reminiscent of the white of winter, depict the tranquil snowy scenery of the majestic Mt. Iwate on the dial. The movement is a hand-wound mechanical "Caliber 9S64" that lasts for approximately 72 hours (approximately 3 days) when fully wound.
